    Objects - Each 8.5 x 16cm., in original metal case 11 x 24.5 cm. - 2 gold bullion epaulettes with silver crown and anchor and gold button (crown and anchor) attachment with ribbon ties. Lined with blue velvet and leather.

    Letter from donor 18 Nov.1991 on Mitchell Library correspondence file states that it is believed [by the King family] that the epaulettes belonged to Philip Gidley King, third Governor of New South Wales.
    The case contains a fragment of the Sydney Morning Herald 26 Mar. 1846.
