  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Nicholas Kyriacos was born in 1950 in Sydney. Nick began writing in his mid to late twenties, became a secondary-school English teacher in 1980, and was appointed headmaster at St Spyridon College, Greek Orthodox High School in 1987. Nick resigned in 2000 to concentrate on his writing. His first novel, Captain Dimitrios, was published in 1999 after being shortlisted for the Australian/Vogel Competition. Set in the back streets of Sydney with an old sea captain as the main character. In 2005 he was awarded with a PhD in Creative Arts.
