    Conserved and reframed, 2006
    John Manton (1835-1903) was fourth son of Frederick Manton (1799-1863), early pastoralist at Yass, and grandson of Joseph Manton, the Gun King. He was an original member of the first Parliament of Fiji, and Manager of the Peak Downs Copper Mine in Queensland, the purchase of which was financed by his father.
