    The sketch includes a newspaper reproduction pasted on the reverse side. The reproduction includes an explanatory note identifying the figures portrayed. The cartoon shows William Webster, George Pearce and W. A. Holman reviving William Hughes after the first conscription referendum. The reproduction has been taken from 'The Bulletin', 5 November 1952, page 21.
