Abraham Watson, 1826-1896, came to Adelong in 1858 as a gold digger, but remained as a storekeeper and publican. Among his children were Ada, 1868-1940, who married Gabriel Speich, Gertrude Amy, 1875-1956 and Frederick William, 1870-1955. Elsa Ethel Speich was the daughter of Ada and Gabriel Speich
