    Papers were presented by B. G. Wright and came from the estate of Daisy Ghest, daughter of Susan and last surviving member of the Lawson family. They included a photograph of a bust of James Brindley Bettington now filed at P1, a miniature probably of Mrs Wm Lawson now filed with Miniatures and 2 daguerreotypes also filed there of a young man probably John Henshall Bettington, grandson of William Lawson (this suggested by Mrs H. L. Bettington 1956) and 1 of a young woman who was in same frame as photo of the above

    1. from [Sir?] Henry Bayly 1861 showing acquaintance

    2. from George Maguire, Boston 1862-1866. His brother Frank of Balranald, Australia was married to Susanna's sister Ann. In 1862 Susanna was 14. 5 letters

    3. from her mother 1864 and no date relating to purchase of clothing

    4. from her uncle in England February 1876. This uncle was probably John Henshall Bettington of Merton, NSW, mentions a photo and tablet in memory of her father in Lond?, estate affairs in connection with Marion whose children then resident in Australia were the writer's wards, and Jas Brindley's wool
