  • Scope and Content
    Victorian photographic album belonging to the Taylor family, with three original watercolours by James Taylor of the 48th Regiment tipped in the album. Includes 24 original cartes-de-visite of Taylor family and friends which are named on the album or the verso of the image, and 1 print. Many images have been photographed in Melbourne. Inscribed inside front cover, “Mrs Katherine Taylor 47 Clanricarde Gardens, London, 1875". Album is in brown tooled leather with brass clasp and lock. The pages are gilt edged.
