  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Harold James Burdett Harden was an Air Mechanic 2nd Class, he enlisted on 3 November 1916, and served in the Australian Flying Corps in No 4 Squadron, and 1 and 2 Reinforcements (January 1917). He was living in Petersham prior to enrolling. He embarked on the 17th January 1917 on RMS Omrah from Melbourne and returned to Australia on 6 May 1919. He served on the Western Front and was injured and invalided to the Second Australian General Hospital. He received the British war medal and the Victory Medal.
