    Desmond Woolley Studios was active throughout the 1930s in Sydney, New South Wales. The studio was situated in the State Shopping Block, which opened in 1929 and was part of the State Theatre building on Market Street.

    Photograph showing leadlight lamps and workers in a workshop. Six men can be seen: three are seated at large tables with lampshades; one crouches on the floor; one stands on a stool adjusting a hanging lamp while another man in a white coat looks on. Light can be seen coming through the windows in the corrugated metal pitched roof, which is supported by wooden crossbeams.
