At the beginning of the volume is page with the text, "Mr Cotton / No.17 [Arundel?] Street / Strand"
No.6 This drawing was sent by John Cotton to his brother in April 1844 to show him what his newly constructed sawn timber house looked like. The portrait above the mantelpiece is believed to be his brother: see G. Mackaness ed., "The correspondence of John Cotton, Victorian pioneer", 1978
"2625" in ink on verso of front endpaper.
The presence of Alfred Lee's bookplate inside front cover indicates that David Scott Mitchell acquired the album.
