    1. Epping, wartime before March 1916 (?): small procession marching down High Street (now part Beecroft Road), soldiers in front, then VAD women (?), then boy scouts. Looking west, east side Presbyterian Church in background. P.F. Watson & Company/Plumbers most obvious shop sign to check location and dating. From 649, obvious this scene is of rear of procession - ON 165/648
    2. Epping: head of procession down High Street, Epping - see 648 - with band and larger contingent of soldiers than appears in 648. Perhaps taken from atop west fence beside railway station - ON 165/649
    3. R. Hazlewood/Photo [block-lettered in black ink by Rex Hazlewood]. Laying of foundation stone, Salvation Army man speaking from dais. Sign at RH back reads: "Epping Soldiers Memorial Club Hall" with drawing below - ON 165/650
    4. Crowd of soldiers, informally/variously dressed beside berthed ship, woman in hat and long coat prominent - ON 165/651

    9. Durban, June 1917: close up view of the "lady signaller of Durban" (Miss Ethel M. Campbell), on extreme end of north breakwater of harbour, semaphony farewell to H.M.A.T.
