Thomas Holt (1811-1888) was a wool merchant, financier and politician. His properties included Arthursleigh near Goulburn which was supervised for a time by his son Frederick Samuel Ellis Holt. In 1868 Holt built a large new residence at Marrickville which he named 'The Warren'. - Scope and Content1822; Bank of New South Wales banknote for Three Spanish Dollars, dated 15 July 1822. Enclosed in envelope inscribed: 'The Honbl. Thos. Holt Esq with P.G. King's Compts.' (Call No.: Safe 1/157)
