  Maude Armstrong, formerly Maude Parkes, was the widow of Kenilworth Parkes. Her maiden name was Howard. Julia Parkes was the 3rd wife of Sir Henry Parkes. The references in the letter to Cob, Henry, Syd and Aurora are to Sir Henry Parkes' children by his second wife Eleanor.
