People Living With HIV/AIDS (NSW), now known as Positive Life, was a non-profit community organisation incorporated on 21 July 1989. PLWHA NSW worked to promote a positive image of people living with and affected by HIV with the aim of eliminating prejudice, isolation, stigmatisation and discrimination. The organisation provided information and advocated to change systems and practices that discriminated against people with HIV, their friends, family and carers in NSW. People Living With HIV/AIDS (NSW) changed its name to Positive Life NSW in 2008.
