- ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORYWilliam Eric (Bill) Gollan (1904-1991), teacher, trade unionist, peace activist and longtime member of the Communist Party of Australia (CPA), was born at Woodburn, N.S.W.. He joined the CPA in 1935 and was a member of its Central Committee from 1944 to the early 1970s.
