  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Magda Hansson worked in the Sydney sex industry as a dominatrix and was associated with sex worker collectives including the Australian Prostitutes Collective. Alan Winchester, social activist, was a key figure in the fight against HIV AIDS among injecting drug users in Sydney in the early 1980’s. He was personally involved in community development, peer education and harm reduction. Alan was a founding member of the AIDS Drug Information Collective (ADIC), the forerunner to NSW Users & AIDS Association Inc. (NUAA) and was the inaugural President of NUAA. He died in 2008.
