The starting point for this genealogy is Bartholomew Reardon, a convict transported to N.S.W. on the First Fleet ship Scarborough, in 1788. He was among the convicts conveyed to Norfolk Island on the Sirius in 1790 and married fellow convict, Hannah Rowley, who had been transported on the Second Fleet vessel, the Lady Juliana, in 1790. Their eldest son, Bartholomew, was born on Norfolk Island in 1791. He was among the islanders evacuated to Tasmania in 1810 where he joined his mother, evacuated in 1808, and took up land in what is now known as Sorell. The family has largely remained in Tasmania. - Scope and Content1998; A bound photocopy of a typescript.
