John William Street, solicitor, was born in 1862, first son of John Rendell Street and Susannah Caroline Street, nee Lawson. He was educated at Waverly Hall and Sydney Grammar School. He was admitted to practice as a solicitor in NSW in 1885. He married Mary Veronica Austin in 1890, by whom he had four children, John Austin (b.1891), Geoffrey Austin (1894-1940), Anthony Austin (b. 1898) and Mary Veronica Street (b. 1902). John Street died at 'Enniskillen' Elizabeth Bay, Sydney in 1943.
