    Quadrant is the magazine of the Australian Association for Cultural Freedom, an offshoot of the International Congress for Cultural Freedom. Quadrant commenced publication in 1956 as a composite political, social and literary journal. Quadrant was initially a quarterly magazine, later bi-monthly and then monthly. James McAuley was the founding editor and at the time of the seminar Peter Coleman was his co-editor. The Australian Association for Cultural Freedom established a programme of seminars during the 1960s.

    MLOH 25/1 Side A (129 min.):
    Recording of Australian Association for Cultural Freedom seminar on 'Censorship' and issues concerning television in Australia. The seminar was chaired by Peter Coleman, speakers include Chips Rafferty, actor; Lee Robinson, director, Fauna Productions; Barry Jones, Film Development Corporation; and Clyde Packer, general manager, Channel 9. Issues discussed include costings; the effect of a small population; protection against foreign owned satellites; the imminent introduction of video recordings for home use; the fundamental differences between feature films and television; and the future appeal of local productions.
