William Lennard came out from England ca. 1890s and made a home in Hartley Vale, N.S.W. where his sister (Mrs Hannah Maker) was living. There he met Walter Halliday withom he made friends and they both played clarinet in the local band -- information from donor - Scope and ContentWilliam Lennard (donor's father) is the clarinet player at far right ; His friend Walter Halliday is seated in the middle
