  • Scope and Content
    Red wax impression of a seal, with the words 'Canberra Australia' surrounding a crown, on a piece of cardboard measuring 9cm x 6.2cm. The card is inscribed, probably by W J McNeill : 'The First Impression from the First Seal of the Federal City of Australia'. The signature is difficult to decipher. A piece of paper is pasted to the verso of the card, on which is written in red ink : 'To W J McNeill with the engravers compmts'. The signature is difficult to decipher.
