Wayne Davies was a student activist during the anti-apartheid demonstrations against the 1971 Springboks Rugby Union tour. He was present at the first test at the Sydney Cricket Ground, when 100 arrests were made. He photographed the use of smoke bombs and the scuffles between police and demonstrators (Source: ML File 1301/00)
