    1838, 1848; Two brief notes from the Duke of Wellington, dated 19 November 1838 and 10 March 1848, thanking Mitchell for his work in drawing up plans of the Peninsular War battlefields.
    Undated; A copy of observations made in 1804 about Van Diemens Land and its Aborigines, and the Kent Group of islands together with a copy of a vocabulary of the New Caledonian language compiled in 1803.

The paper is watermarked 1838 and the designs probably refer to Mitchell's book 'Three expeditions into the interior of Eastern Australia ...' which appeared in 1838.
