    From the papers of the `Berry, Wollstonecraft and Hay Families' (MLMSS 315 Mitchell Library. Formerly located at MLMSS 802)
    `Crows Nest' was built for Alexander Berry in 1850, later owned by Sir John Hay, and demolished in 1932. The gates and fence remain at the North Sydney Demonstration School.
