    I. Papers of John Bingle, 1878
    1878; 'Birthday Thoughts in New South Wales, Australia, 1878', being printed leaflet, 3pp., written by John Bingle on the occasion of his eighty second birthday describing his life in Australia and impressions of the current state of the country (Call No.: MLMSS 7115/1)

    II. Papers of Miss Bingle, 1839-1855
    1839-1855; Album belonging to Miss Bingle, being small leather bound volume with ms. entries, possibly owned by Mary Elizabeth Bingle, sister of Sarah Cross Bingle. Album entries include poems, inscriptions and autographs, generally including messages of farewell. Most entries were probably written around 1842 when the Bingle family were leaving England in order to return to Australia. Includes signature of her brother J. Rayden Bingle, 1855.     III. Papers of Sarah Cross Little, nee Bingle, 1843-1909
    1853-1908; Scrapbooks of Sarah Cross Little, being two volumes, each volume comprising notebooks stitched together and encased in hand-made silk sateen cloth, with ms. entries, attached newscuttings and loose inserts. Vol I. labelled 'Patterns in Knitting and Crochet. Poetry, Songs etc. Cooking Recipes', includes cooking, craft and household information as well as poetry and songs. Vol II. labelled 'Poetry collected by S.C.B. 1854-1856', includes 'Novelties in Decoration', knitting and crochet patterns along with poetry and songs. (Call No.: MLMSS 7115/1)
    1895-1908; Scrapbooks of Sarah Cross Little, being two cloth covered volumes, with ms. entries, attached newscuttings and loose inserts compiled by Sarah Little. Vol I. labelled 'Interesting Extracts Egypt, Palmistry etc. Thought Reading, New Physiognomy [sic] etc.', with index attached at back. Vol II. labelled 'Interesting Extracts, Astronomy, Physiogony [sic] etc., Palmistry etc.' (Call No.: MLMSS 7115/1)
    1897; 1919; 'The Littles of Meikledaile Langholm, Dumfries, Scotland, and the Families They are connected with' being a history of the Little and Bingle families, compiled by Sarah Cross Little and presented to her daughter Mary Emma Gardner in December 1897, comprising four volumes with ms. entries, attachments, illustrations and loose inserts. [A detailed history of the families apparently compiled by Sarah Little for each of her children, similar to one compiled for William Maxwell Little located at MLMSS 486/1] Additional information concerning the Gardner family in Vol IV. probably in the hand of Mary Emma Gardner.
