Bruce Waddell Fieldew Pratt (1902-1989) was the editor of the magazine New Nation from 1931-1936. After serving as a lieutenant in the AIF during World War II he joined Angus and Robertson where he was General Editor of the second edition of The Australian Encyclopaedia (1958), Editor-in-Chief of the third edition (1977) and a member of the Advisory Board of the fourth edition (1983).
