    R. A. Watson, born 1839 in Limenburg County, Nova Scotia, arrived in New South Wales in 1860 and bought the Paragon Hotel, Circular Quay in 1868. His son Walter Halifax Watson, 1875-1971, was proprietor of the hotel c.1901-1923. Captain M. B. Brown commanded a merchant vessel plying between England, India and Australia
