Prominent Italo-Australian poet who migrated to Australia in 1939. In 1985 Strano was founding President of the Italo-Australian Writers' Association and received an honorary MA degree from the University of Wollongong for his contribution to Australia's literary culture - Scope and ContentCorrespondence, 1934, 1947-1991 with, inter alia, Giuseppe Morabito and Professor Giovanni Giraldi in Italy; literary manuscripts including manuscript and typescript drafts, galley and page proofs of, inter alia, Ruinia (1973); articles and reviews on Luigi Strano and his work. Acquired as part of The Italians in New South Wales Project
