  The photographic series relates to the alleged apparition of the Virgin Mary at Dolphin Point (recently named after the football team that lost a member in the Bali bombing), Coogee Bay, in January - February 2003. Over a couple of weeks, thousands of spectators flocked to see 'Our Lady of Coogee', a veiled apparition which cynics attributed to a trick of light as afternoon sun reflected off a crook in the fence overlooking the headland. All major newspapers and television stations covered the story.

• Scope and Content
  The photographs, taken on 2nd February at the height of the sensation, show the crowds of believers massed at Coogee Beach and headland, praying and kissing the site of the apparition, and placing offerings at the makeshift shrine. Photographs also show the Gallery Laundry, opposite the beach, which operated as a focal point during this period, selling memorabilia and providing information for visitors.
