    1803-1849; HO 9/1-16: Registers of convicts on hulks in Chatham, Devonport, Portsmouth and Woolwich. Names of hulks: Ganymede, Dolphin, Cumberland, Fortitude, Euryalus, Captivity, Discovery, Prudentia, Justitia, Retribution, Bellephon, Fortunee, Hospital, Leviathan, York, Establishment. The registers provide varying details of offence, conviction, character, behaviour in gaol, and in some cases date and place of transportation. HO 9/16 (PRO 4883) is a letterbook, 1847-49, relating to the establishment of the hulks. (Call No.: PRO 4879-4883)
