Journal of travels in the South Pacific and Australasia by yacht visiting Samoa, Fiji, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart, Albany, the Cape of Good Hope, Auckland, Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, Napier, and Rotorua. Featherston stayed mainly in major cities, generally at clubs or Government House, attending dinner parties, cricket matches and race meetings, plays and concerts. A friend of Lord and Lady Hopetoun, he stayed with them at Government House in Melbourne for lengthy periods in 1892-94. In addition to the journal, the reel contains brief accounts by Featherston of places visited entitled 'Cruise of the White Heather'
