Created 1918. Responsible for collating and disseminating overseas commercial intelligence and administering the overseas commercial services. Also responsible for British participation in overseas exhibitions, the administration of the Imperial Institute, and until 1930 it dealt with export credit, guarantees and insurance. Abolished 1946 with most functions transferred to the Board of Trade
