Joined the Royal Navy in 1851. Bridge was in Australia in command of Espiegle (1881-85) and was Commander-in-Chief of the Australian Station (1894-98)

Subjects include Pacific labour trade, Isabelle massacre, Presbyterian missionaries, trial of seamen on Flora, registration of titles to land by British subjects in Melanesian islands and steam trials. 3.
