  • General note

    It is difficult to ascertain whether the drawings signed "H. Scott" are by Harriet or Helena Scott.
    The drawings are looseleaf and were hinged onto pages at an unknown date.
    Nos. 1-2, 4-10, 12-13, and 15 have a circular shaped green [auction?] sticker on the reverse with the number "1288" in blue ink. Nos. 11 and 17 have a similar sticker with the number "1017".
    Nos. 6, 8-10 have "M & M.S. Shaw" in pencil on the reverse.
    Nos. 14 and 15 were originally attached by a pin that has been removed.
    No. 16 is drawn on paper ruled with a grid pattern. It was originally on the reverse of Rununculus asiaticus ... (DG *D44 Vol.1 No.7).
