Levers Pacific Plantations Ltd was incorporated in England 20 May 1902 to acquire coconut properties in Pacific region to ensure a supply of copra to Lever Bros Ltd oil mill, Balmain, Sydney. This continued until 1971 when crushing at Balmain ceased & the company sold its total production through the Solomon Islands Copra Board. Levers Pacific Plantations Pty Ltd was incorporated under NSW Companies Act 8 Nov 1928 when it acquired the assets of original company. Levers Pacific Plantations Ltd was incorporated under Solomon Islands Companies Act 30 Dec 1975 as a private company limited by shares. Levers Pacific Plantations Ltd changed its name to Lever Solomons Ltd 29 Jan 1980. It was incorporated as a joint venture Company between Solomon Islands Government and Unilever with 40% of shares held by Solomons Island Government
