    Watercolour tipped into: The last cruise of "The Wanderer" / by John Webster. Sydney : F. Cunninghame, [1858 or 1863?], Dixson Library 86/7 between pp. iii and 1.
    When this watercolour was painted Oswald Brierly was the manager of Ben Boyd's whaling station at East Boyd, Twofold Bay. It appears to be the basis of John Carmichael's etching "East Boyd, N.S.W.", which was published in W.H. Wells', "A Geographical Dictionary, or Gazetteer of the Australian colonies...", Sydney, 1848, opp. p.69.
    Titled by reference to the above mentioned etching.
    Dated by reference to Brierly's watercolour "East Boyd 1847", ML 1348
