Textual Records - (manuscript) - Scope and ContentCharles Carloss boarded the sailing ship Loch Garry at the East India Docks on 27 October 1893 with his brother Alfred. He writes about other passengers, meals consumed, almost daily card games, and the tedium of the voyage. The ship does not appear to have made landfall between London and Melbourne, but he mentions passing by the Canary Islands and Tristan da Cuhna. The ship sailed into Port Philip Bay on 23 January 1894 and Carloss disembarked two days later (Call No.: MLMSS 7459/Box 1X)
