[ref:Biographical register of the NSW parliament 1901-1970/Radi et al] - Scope and Content1927; Illuminated testimonial, being leather bound vol., ms. testimonial illustrated with view of Parliament House, Town Hall, Sydney and a photograph of Peter F. Loughlin. Illustration by John Sands. Testimonial reads:'Sydney. December 1927. To The Honorable Peter F. Loughlin. Dear Sir, In asking your acceptance of the accompanying testimonial, which has been contributed by citizens of all shades of political opinion throughout the State, we desire to express, in enduring form, our appreciation of the service you have rendered to your country. At a period of crisis in the history of New South Wales your action in sacrificing your political and material interests, and suffering the severence of personal associations of a lifetime, commanded universal admiration and respect. We are hopeful that the appreciation which has everywhere been called forth by your action will, in the future, inspire public men to imitate your example of devotion and self-sacrifice. Your absence from the legislature is a distinct loss to New South Wales and, in the interests of the country that you have served so well, we trust in the near future you will re-enter public life and give the State the benefit of your outstanding ability and sterling personal worth. On behalf of the Subscribers and Committee:' and including 18 signatures. Illuminated testimonial is followed by 16 pages of ts. tributes to Loughlin by prominent citizens of NSW. Testimonial is bound in leather with 'P.F.L.' initials entwined in gold on front cover.
