Albert Bathurst Piddington (1862-1945), judge and parliamentarian, was born at Bathurst, N.S.W., son of William and Annie Piddington. He was educated at Sydney Grammar School and the University of Sydney. He was admitted to the Sydney Bar in 1890 and practiced as a barrister before being appointed to the High Court in 1913 but resigned the same year. Piddington was elected a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for the seat of Tamworth (1895-1898).[ref:ADB 11] - Scope and ContentWriters include Mrs. Agnes Busby, Sir George Grey, Sir Mungo MacCallum, W.H.B. Piddington, W.M. Hughes, Sir Edmund Barton, H.B. Higgins and R. Windeyer. A list of printed pamphlets, which were part of the collection, is included.
