William Henry Suttor (1834-1905), pastoralist and parliamentarian, was born at Brucedale, son of William Henry Suttor the elder (1805-1877) and his wife Sarah Maria. He was educated at Parramatta by Dr. William Woolls and from the age of sixteen managed his father's pastoral runs. In July 1890 he was the founding President of the Pastoralists' Union of New South Wales. Suttor was elected member of the NSW Legislative Assembly for the seat of East Macquarie (1875-1879) and appointed a member of the NSW Legislative Council (1880-1900).
