'Gustave Massartic' embossed on front cover. [French dancer Gustave Massartic, who visited Australia with the Martinetti-Ravel Troupe in 1867 and the Lehman Ballet in 1868, settled in Melbourne and founded a ballet school and ensemble, Le Ballet Massartic, which toured Victoria and South Australia from 1869-1871.
