    Objects - 13 x 14.6 cm. - Tarnished and pitted. Name and date very worn; inscription partly worn. "1825" is underlined by a scroll. A left-pointing arrow, represented by three converging lines each approx. 5 mm. long, is incised on the reverse at centre. An approx. 40 cm. length of brown string, formerly tied through one hole, is housed with the breastplate. - 1 crescent-shaped brass breastplate, engraved, with hole at each apex

    Titled from inscription
    "The plate was found in 1876 ... by a member of the Biddulph family, at the blacks' camping ground, Sandy Point, on "Eree" [ie Eeree] Estate, Shoalhaven River, 14 miles upstream from Nowra" -- from newspaper article by donor, ca. 1926. Letter and cutting filed at ML Aa 44/6
