  • ADMINISTRATIVE/ BIOGRAPHICAL HISTORY

    Thomas Rhodes was born in 1856 to Alexander Rhodes and Mary Ward Wilson (married 1855). He had a brother, Theophilus Ingham, and two sisters, Edith Alexandria and Mary Wallace.

    In 1883, Thomas married Frances Amelia Rhodes (nee Hillas, ca. 1860-1947) and they had children Hillas, May, Lucy, Will, Dorothy (Poppy), Victor Fothergill Firth Rhodes, and Ken.

    Thomas Rhodes was an engineer employed by the Railway Construction Branch of the New South Wales Department of Public Works.
