    Dating is based on the dates 1849 and 1850 which appear in the sketch
    A name, [?Crooney], above seated figure at left, is incompletely scratched out by abrading of the paper surface
    A line of text appears to have been struck out with ink above the date ""1850"" on side of tent
    An untitled poem is pencilled in upper half of page. Beneath is an illegible flourish in pencil which may represent a signature, but does not resemble the signature of Thomas Thomas in SSV3B/2-3. The poem is dated in pencil ""1849"", closely resembling ""1840""
