    Damien Peter Parer (1912-1944) was a photographer and cameraman with the Commonwealth Department of Information during World War II. From 1940 until he was killed in action in 1944 he photographed the campaigns in the Middle East and New Guinea. He married Elizabeth Marie Cotter on 23 March 1944 and had 1 son, Damien.

Includes photographs by Max Dupain, Olive Cotton and Damien Parer; Damien Parer's World War II medals, memorabilia and scrapbook; general family papers including correspondence; script of John Duigan's TV film; photographs of members of the Parer and Cotter families; videos; replica of 'Oscar' statuette; association copies of books; correspondence in relation to Elizabeth Parer's quest for war pension, and papers concerning her death.
