    Emma Louisa (known as Louisa) Mackenzie came from the village of Alderminster, Worcestershire (now in Warwickshire). She and her husband Edwin Robert Mackenzie went to May Downs, then to Tangley Station near Guyra. Ollera Station was owned by the Everett family.

    A letter written from 'Tangly, Armidale', started on 1 Jan. 1869 and added to up to 16 Jan. Louisa Mackenzie describes a visit to Ollera homestead for Christmas 1868, family and financial affairs and bushfires. She describes in detail an attack by bushrangers on their homestead.
