The sketchbook is portrait format covered in vellum and is similar to sketchbooks 20, 21, 21 in Allport Library & Museum of Fine Arts (State Library of Tasmania).
Accounts are by and about John Glover. From this it follows the drawings in the columns of accounts are by Glover, as some are within the accounts and in the same medium; and by comparison that the later full-page sketches are by Glover
The paper is Taylor with the watermark showing Britannia in triple circle and crown with the Maltese Cross. There are 74 leaves with the pages numbered in pencil after at least 6 leaves were removed.

Accounts where dated are mostly for 1794. One for Mr Leonard for L10-10-6 is cumulative from 1792. A lesson cost L0-5-0 in 1792-4. Leonard took 8 in the second half of January and paid L0-16-0 for a drawing by “Farrington”.
At the opposite end of the sketchbook, inside cover, text:
