General note

The sketchbook is landscape format with ink over pencil depicting images of Wales with `Wales’ inscribed on the spine.

There were originally 133 drawings, numbered 1 to 133 the final one on the back cover. Only 75 remain of which only some are attached while others have been cut out and mounted elsewhere in an album and returned to the collection. 58 sketches are missing. Sketches DGA 30, 123 (is sketch no.66) and sketches DGA 31a, 4, 9 are also from this sketchbook.

Watermark TMAN Turkey Mill. Some sketches are full page, others sideways three to a page. Marbled cover with red trim on corners and spine, labelled Wales on the front and back.
