- Scope and ContentThese drawings have been constructed by the State Library into three albums (A,B,C) that appear to be from various sources.
Volume A: These sketches can not be fitted to any of the existing Glover sketchbooks held in the State Library of New South Wales. The sketches, DGA 29 f1, f4, f9 are not certain attributions to Glover.
Volume B: Most of the sketches (Leaves 3 to 36) in this volume appear to come from one original sketchbook, which is now unbound and lost. This original `Animal’ sketchbook depicts mostly animals with some drawings of rural people and scenes. Hansen, p. 142, notes these sketches were amongst material owned by the Nineteenth century Melbourne art dealer James Hines, at least part of which he acquired from R.C. Sticht.
Volume C: Several of these works are not attributed to Glover and several are considered individual works. Three sections DGA 29c, 57-59 are from DGA 27.
