    “This work drives from the 1851-52 Queensland journey. It was commissioned by Alexander Oliver, a Sydney Lawyer, public servant and President of the Land Appeal Court, who acquired Coochin Coochin in the 1860’s. The following are earlier commissions of Coochin Coochin: 31 May 1853 1Coochin Run’ – oil 26 x 18[inches]. O[ctavius] Brown[e] Esq. ₤15.15.0. sold to M. Metcalf Esq’; 19 Nov. 1853 `Run at `Coochin’. O[ctavius] Browne Esq’, see Martens letter to Browne, 25 Feb. 1854, DLMS 144 ff.54-5; 29 June 1854 `Coochin Run. Geo Leslie Esq. £5.5.0, illustrated in de Falbe, opp. p.65”
